IFANZ, the “Infant Feeding Association of New Zealand”, an Incorporated Charitable Trust launched 10 May 2006.
IBFAN, International Baby Food Action Network. IFANZ is the new Regional Coordinating Office, "IBFAN Oceania", for the Pacific region.
To promote the health and well-being of infants and young children and their mothers, in New Zealand and Internationally, through the protection, promotion and support of optimal infant and young child feeding practices.
To provide education and information that is free of commercial influence, to enable informed decision-making about infant and young child feeding.
To support full implementation of the International Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes and subsequent relevant World Health Assembly Resolutions.
